Аннотация: The present book offers a critical study of the literary discourse specific to Anglophone Arab women narratives and of how contemporary Arab female writers living in the Diaspora –Britain and U.S. particularly –represent their hybrid and/or hyphenated identity, then how they voice their silent female compatriots through a discourse recognized as unique. Our aim is to provide the reader with a tentative re-location of Anglophone Arab women writings within a more specific framework with a focus on the main characteristics of this literature –a literature of minority, of Borderlands and of cultural translation/representation. The emphasis in this book is going to be on the particularities of Arab English female literary discourse, and on the way it reflects contemporary Arab Anglophied women authors’ tendency to foreground a more authentic image of the Arab Woman, and to establish new trans-cultural bridges allowing more fusion and mutual comprehension between the West and the so-called Arab cultural entities in a globalized world.Hence, this work unearths, explores and debates the specificity of the literary discourse that characterizes Arab Anglophone women narratives.
