Аннотация: Agriculture is one of most important aspect for developed and developing countries both for fulfill food demand population and help in the growth of economy of country.Technological advancement in recent years for better utilization of resources like more industrial units, setting up of power generating plants, disposal of municipal wastes and intensive farming have resulted in large scale degeneration and accumulation of environmental pollutants which are very much dangerous to environment and agricultural land which effect the productivity of the crops. One of the most important pollutant are heavy metals, such as cadmium, chromium and mercury, are important environmental pollutants, particularly in areas with high anthropogenic pressure. High concentration of heavy metals in agricultural soils can occur naturally, or via application of metal –rich sewage sludges, industrial wastes, excessive use of P fertilizers & atmospheric deposition.Heavy metal accumulation in soils is of concern in agricultural production due to the adverse effects on food quality. Heavy metal bioaccumulation in the food chain can be especially highly dangerous to human health.
