Аннотация: Paddy is one of the most important food crops of India and is second in importance throughout the world.The book covers trend in area, production and productivity of paddy at world level, national level, state level and district level and trend in export of rice,cultivation practices followed by the farmers in cultivating paddy,cost of cultivation incurred by the farmers in cultivating paddy,comparison of conventional method and SRI method of paddy cultivation,how the farm mechanisation practices are being adopted by the paddy farmers,producer’s share in the consumer’s price and efficiency of the identified marketing channels,marketed and marketable surplus, satisfaction of paddy farmers with the functioning of existing marketing system and the cultivation and marketing problems faced by the paddy farmers.Relevant statistical tools have been employed to bring out the findings in a proper manner.Several fruitful suggestions have also been offered to improve the paddy cultivation and marketing.This book would be certainly useful to the research scholars, students, teachers and others who are intended to pursue research in agricultural marketing.
