      Аннотация: Educational policy in Nigeria has suffer from different form of reforms and this is as a result of the political instability which the county witnessed right from independent. This distortion and continuous interference has affected the system of education in the country.Besides this, the country is also trying to model foreign countries without having and in-dept look on its background and the interest of the people. The pluralistic nature of the country and attempts to satisfy primordial sentiment such as ethnicity,religion and the so-called zoning system serious discourage the growth of merit and room for socioeconomic development. The educational policy in Nigeria center on fields and discipline that are not practical orient and this is a serious threat to national development. The Persistence dependent on imported policy without having an outlook at the latent vital of the country will bring more harm that stability to the educational system of the country. Tradition system of education in Nigeria is under look and ignored unlike in countries like China, Japan, and India. this probably as a result of the heterogeneous nature of the country.
