Аннотация: Operations management deals with the conversion of incoming products into outgoing produces. In the case of HOPCOMS, Operations management is concerned with providing place possession exchange and time utility of fruits and vegetables (F&V) to the consumers. F&V products are perishable in nature. Fruits and vegetables are important basic necessities of life. The various kinds of vegetables differ in their nutrient values. Fresh and processed vegetables are high in minerals and vitamins. Major role is producers, consumers, bulk buyers and staff of the co-operative society. Karnataka is an important F&V producing state in the country. Karnataka has occupied third and fifth position in the production of F&V. In developing countries agriculture contributes in a large measure to national income and output, thereby demonstrating its potential for capital formation. It is strategically important to ensure large agricultural surpluses that will help to finance infrastructure and industry. Hence improvement in agricultural productivity is one of the most solid means of promoting industrialization. Horticulture is an important segment of the agricultural business in India.
