      Аннотация: As teacher-student classroom interaction is essential for effective teaching and second language acquisition, this book presents the nature of classroom questioning skills determining first, the kinds of verbal questioning, as a vital part of classroom verbal interaction, then investigates the extent of employing the teacher-student interaction in a class of inquiries and responses in which language competency becomes the focus of attention. The book grounded on a solid knowledge of the effectiveness of classroom interaction in general and classroom questioning skills in particular which definitely helps in creating an effective teaching and learning/acquiring L2. It argues certain problems that might constrain teachers from performing basic skills of teaching. Finally, it recommends a set of remedies and solutions for improving the teachers’ skills and techniques of teaching and suggests carrying out regular sessions and workshops through which the teachers could improve their abilities and skills, particularly classroom questioning skills.
