Adverse outcomes associated with malnutrition. Thus,the potential benefits of nutritional intervention appear worthy of the effort.Cessation of smoking at any age increases longevity and has the potential to increases quality of life. For example, 65-year-old, one-pack-a-day smoker who quit can expect to in-crease their life expectancy by 2-3 years. Any deviation in the biochemical results should be attributed to age and age related pathology together. The use of three different age groups in this study can be useful to identify the intra-individual ranges, to enhance better clinical interpretation of biochemical values in geriatric population.
