Аннотация: Women were finally successful to write down their own history only in 20th century. The prehistoric period of women is a long period of 20 centuries. Since they did not have any representatives to write their histories men did it according to their own whims and wishes. When men wrote about women they wrote about them with phrases like 'the Angel in the House' rather than the 'Angel in the Society'. The Angel in the House' meant that women are meant to be limited in space than men. 'Society' and 'house' are macrocosm and microcosm signifying that men need more spaces than women, more opportunities, more and more things available to them. This book is about three women in fiction: Esther Summerson, Ruth, and Lady Audley. Poverty is a deciding factor in their lives making the good/bad subject to interpretation. The three women were the products of societies in which they lived signifying that society can give shape to good and bad.
