Global Health: Themes, Topics and Trends.

      Аннотация: The world is increasingly interconnected through travel, trade and commerce. The increased movement of people, animals and products, changing environmental landscapes with communicating ecosystems allows for a the development of international business and global citizens. Diseases however have also transcended the boundaries of latitude, longitude and altitude to produce disease outbreaks as pandemics which impacts the world at large and requires for a global response as well. Global health provides an opportunity for citizens and scientists alike to become more aware of the international scope of health in terms of disease burdens as well as its respective treatment and care. An understanding of topics, themes and trends provides the knowledge and skills to address diseases from a local, regional and international perspective. This book presents relevant topics, themes and trends in global health by exploring the challenges and experiences from perspectives of a diversity of diseases among a diverse socio-economic, cultural and geo-political world.
