Аннотация: Mining companies continually develop more sophisticated technologies in responding to the growing demand of society. However, mining companies still have to demonstrate what “responsible” mining is, and there is uncertainty to overcome because, unfortunately for the industry, mining has a poor record of performance on various social and environmental issues over the past years. This book presents the investigation of Mining Companies’ Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) and its impact to the multi-sector group. This contributes significant benefits of responsible mining and the risk of irresponsible mining.
