Аннотация: Burnout is very common in hospitals and its severity is even higher among young doctors. The Objective of the study was to determine the prevalence of burnout among doctors in training (interns and residents) at Ibn Rochd University Hospital (Casablanca) and to search its associated factors. A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in 2013- 2014 with a sample of 300 physicians, using a self-administered questionnaire. Burnout was assessed by the French language version of Maslash Burnout Inventory. Results showed high average scores of Maslach Burnout Inventory sub-scales: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and personal accomplishment. Severe burnout affected 31.8% of participants. It was associated with the lack of support (p <0.05), fearing making medical errors (p< 0.05), seniors dissatisfaction (p = 0.01), the lack of communication within the healthcare team (p<0.01), going to a psychotherapist (p<0,001), taking psychotropics (p=0,001), anxiety (p<0,01), depression(p<0.01) and suicidal ideas (p<0,05). Protective factors were feeling equity within the health care team (p = 0.01) and taking leisure activities (p = 0.001).A preventive program seems to be necessary.
