Аннотация: Pregnancy is a challenging time in a woman's life and it needs to be clarified for most women. The antenatal clinic is a reliable haven for women to find answers to their worries and feel confident about their health status. However, in Cameroon, there is still much that has to be done to assist mothers-to-be go through this state peacefully and confidently. This book explores the perceptions of pregnant women about the antenatal care they receive in a health district in the South-West region of Cameroon. It explores their understanding of the value of antenatal care, assesses the care provided them at selected health centres and provides recommendations for improving the experience of mothers attending antenatal clinics. We hope the research addresses the expectations of other pregnant women wherever they may be and that the health personnel reading this book will take the recommendations seriously to improve the well-being of our mothers around the world especially in the developing countries.
