An African Perspective of African Children. Their Imagination and Creativity

      Аннотация: Imagination is the soup with which creativity is eaten. One cannot create without imagining. When mental pictures are formed in one's mind the release of them can be put down in word or writing. It might not be perfect at the beginning but something has been created. When children imagine and want to write, they are so involved in it that they care less about spellings, punctuation, poor phrases and how the different parts might fit together. Through the editing process something laudable and concrete will always come forth. Children's imagination at first keeps them at the world of fantasy. That is why in this book some aspects of children's imagination have been briefly looked into. As time goes by, fantasy shifts to reality. This means that children should be given the opportunity to imagine and create in their own world and this can happen perfectly when the children are part of their own culture.
