Principal Preparation and Development in Northern Canada.

      Аннотация: Principals play pivotal roles and functions in the life of school organizations. This book documents a research of Nunavut Educational Leadership program that prepares and develops principals for schools in Nunavut, Canada.The research demonstrates the tensions and challenges in designing and delivering such development program in a cross-cultural environment to fulfill the educational aspirations of the indigenous Inuit of that territory. The book is an excellent read for policy-makers, researchers and education practitioners who desire a deeper understanding of the politics of culture related to the design of the structure, curriculum content and delivery of principal development or preparation in an indigenous territory. The book also gives several pointers and strategies about how principal preparation or development programs could be critiqued, enhanced or evaluated to ensure their effectiveness.
