Impact of WUA on the Efficient Use of Irrigation Water. Under Different Sources (A Case Study of Andhra Pradesh, India)

      Аннотация: Judicious management of water resources is one of the critical policy issues across the continents.The need for action in this direction is growing as countries and communities across the globe are increasingly experiencing water stress.The growing water stress represents culmination of gross neglect and mismanagement of water resources over the years. The Problem is not due to absolute shortage of water but due to the absence of proper mechanism for conservation, distribution and efficient use. To over come this hindrance government agencies in most developing countries are transferring rights and responsibilities of the management of irrigation systems to private or local or organizations.Thus this book is evidently handy for the academicians,researchers, policy makers who work on efficient use of irrigation water and participatory irrigation management.
