Аннотация: Bronchial Asthma represents a group of symptoms that are characterized by reversible airway obstruction as a result of hyper reactivity of the airways passage to allergens. This case study has assessed how sleeping position reduces nighttime asthma symptoms and medication consumption, stops night awakening due to asthma symptoms and reduces activity limitation the following day. Most of asthma symptoms occur at night during sleeping time. Sleep position that reduces nighttime asthma symptoms is the key component of improving control and reducing severity of asthma attack. This case report describes a novel approach of management and prophylaxis of asthmatic episodes through sleeping position that reduces and controls asthma symptoms resulting in reduced drug consumption, improving sleep quality that reduces nighttime time asthma attack. By providing this information on the success of the use of a sleep position will be resourceful for asthmatic patients, parents with asthmatic children, care takers and clinicians on the availability of a very simple, effective self-care, home based measure that uses existing resources that can easily be practiced by any asthma patient at home.
