Аннотация: The role of media in society is very important and critical. Media considered as a spokes person in democratic societies. Media and journalism play a vital role to built public opinion, highlight the public issues and give the awareness to people about the policies of Government. Media is reshaping the societies by spreading information and new ideas. Media support the political socialization. Political scientists insist the media to play a role in politics. Media is creator of public opinion and trend setter. It can play a vital role in democratic process and bring changes in society. Political socialization is a process in which every citizen of state plays an active role for society. Pakistan is a democratic country, where every citizen have right to elect the government through vote. A vote is reflection of individual`s political opinion. Voting is as all the citizens over the age of eighteen have the right of vote. So, the current book discusses the matter about the media’s role in increasing turn-out in general elections 2013 in Pakistan.
