Аннотация: This research sought to evaluate the impact of electronic payment systems on the income streams of financial institutions using case of People’s Own Savings Bank. The research objectives were to; find the types of electronic payment systems used by POSB, assess the impact of electronic payment systems on the income streams of POSB and find out the advantages and disadvantages of electronic payment systems to POSB. This research was carried out using the descriptive research and the research findings were obtained from twenty (20) employees, forty (40) customers and five (5) POSB top managers from POSB Causeway and Bindura branches. Questionnaire and face to face interviews were used to obtain primary data and secondary data was obtained by studying information that was already available and has been written for other purposes other than the current study. The study found out that the types of electronic payment systems being offered by POSB are Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS), ATMs, credit cards, cellphone banking, western union money transfer, Eco cash and telegraphic transfers. It was also found that the impacts of electronic payment systems are convenience, choices variety.
