Serum Vitamin D level in Children with Asthma: A Case Control Study. Does Vitamin D Really Deficient in Asthmatic Children or a Misnomer: A Tertiary Centre Experience

      Аннотация: Asthma is the most common chronic disorder in childhood with immunological etiology. The burden of the disease is gradually increasing day by day due to increased pollution, lazy lifestyle and urbanization. It should be controlled to prevent pandemic of these disease in our future generation. Vitamin D has shown immune-modulatory property which may provide a hope to control asthma. Many studies support and many refute the relation between serum vitamin D level in childhood Asthma. So a multicenter broad based trial involving large number of samples from different geographical locations and ethnic groups, involving Vitamin D status and its impact on management outcome on asthma will throw more light into the problem.
