Аннотация: The present book highlights the recent approaches in bio remediation studies. The book efficiently reports an exhaustive study carried out on bio -treatment of dairy industry waste collected from five major dairy industries in Pune district, western maharashtra, India. The process of bio remediation involves the use of an efficient microbes or their enzymes to return the polluted environment to its original natural condition by breaking down the complex organic matter. The present book also highlights on physico -chemical aspects of dairy industry waste, during this study efficient bacterial isolates screened out on the basis of their effective enzyme producing ability as - Alcaligenes faecalis AMT03 and Alcaligenes faecalis CD234 were characterized and optimized for their efficient use in an integrated fixed -film bioreactor technology (FFBT) to remove pollutants to achieve required bio remediation of dairy industry waste. In summary, the book as most of the readers will find, is simple and student friendly which would benefit the students, researchers, academicians and industrialists.
