It aims at stimulating the physicians and clinical chemists to read more on the recent advances in this broad subject with the view to improving the understanding of the current biochemical markers of liver diseases and transplant graft rejection. The book could also help medical and other health related students to gain adequate understanding of liver diseases. The book could promote good understanding of biochemical markers of liver diseases and hence could improve the management of the affected individuals. This could reduce the rate of morbidity and mortality from liver disease and the complication of its surgical treatment. This book demonstrates that the basic biochemical markers of liver diseases include variable elevations of serum bilirubin, liver enzymesand tumour markers such as alpha faetoprotein, and variable reductions in serum albumin, total protein, among others as well as appearance of some serological markers.
