African Ideologies and Philosophy in a Globalized World.

      Аннотация: There is extant evidence that Africa has veritable ideologies and philosophy for nation building and sustainability. The fact remains that these veritable values are still being misunderstood and misinterpreted by many especially as the earlier works on African religion and philosophy were written by foreigners who possessed insufficient knowledge of the philosophy behind these practices. However, African culture through diffusion and assimilation has been grossly affected especially by globalization. This book-African Ideologies and Philosophy in a Globalized World by the Association of African Traditional and Philosophy scholars (AATREPS) expounded the different aspects of African ideologies and philosophy such as; traditional medicine, festival of water – spirits, funeral rites, social order, environmental sustainability etc. It further explored the effects of globalization on them and recommended ways to preserve them in this era. The book is ideal for the general public and religious persons especially those interested in African studies. It is also meant for university students and a good reading material for high school students offering social or/an general studies.
