Аннотация: Study was conducted to explore the impact of parents’ educational level on the performance of their children at Secondary level in public sector boys and girls high schools of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The main objective of the study was to find out education level of the parents and its impact on performance of their children. Public sector high schools of Azad Kashmir and the respective students who appeared in annual examination, 2012 SSC Part-I in BISE-AJK were included were included in the population. In District Bhimber, all 41 Boys High Schools and 42 Girls High Schools were taken as population. In Urban Area of Bhimber, there are 2 boys High schools and one girls high school. By systematic sampling, 25 percent of the students of these schools were taken as Sample. All of three urban schools were also included in the study. In rural areas of AJK, it was found that the parents’ education played much positive role in the performance of their children. It was also found that the uneducated parents were more concerned about their children education, and they arranged extra coaching for their children.
