The Syrian crisis as the prelude of the New Order in the Region.

      Аннотация: This book, which was written in the autumn of 2013, focuses on the geopolitical, geo-economic and risk analysis aspects of the Syrian Crisis. The present study combines widely accepted facts regarding tactical and strategic pursuits of global powers in the Region with a series of hypotheses regarding possible hidden pursuits and military intervention scenarios. The intervention and frontier re-design scenarios are constructed in such a way as to fit geopolitical priorities and interests, taking also into account the strengths and weaknesses of the key regional players and the relevant historical experience in the Region. In the first part of the book (chapters A to E) a series of scenarios are presented and briefly analyzed regarding the strategic priorities and pursuits and the conflicting or converging interests of the key geopolitical players in the Region (U.S.A., Israel, U.K., Russia and Germany). In the second part of it (chapter F) a road map towards the establishment of a New Order in the Region is presented and briefly analyzed in the context of converging and diverging geopolitical pursuits of the key players in the Syrian Crisis.
