Аннотация: Difficult economic situation in Kosovo and small chance for accelerated development of the villages indicates the urgent need for finding of options that are effective for providing immediate results. Identification of potentials in villages of Dukagjini Region in Kosovo and their role in the development of entire Kosovo society is a very important issue. Sustainable development of agriculture and tourism in the villages based on bioclimatic architecture and indigenous values ??of vernacular architecture in villages and traditional organization of rural settlements can be of great importance to the rural area is quite impressive for Dukagjini Region and the entire Kosovo society. The rich natural and cultural resources in Kosovo are an excellent basis for the development of agriculture and the development of rural tourism can complete the entire activity, the purpose of economic development in rural settlements. Previous development of indigenous architecture in Kosovo, the identification of potential and determining the context of sustainable development is imperative for the development of rural Dukagjini based on endogenous concept of development.
