Lean Manufacturing Implementation. A case study in a manufacturing company

      Аннотация: In a highly dynamic and competitive industry, manufacturing companies are striving to cut costs and boost their processes efficiency. Relying on Lean Manufacturing can help the company to reach these goals. This cannot be achieved overnight, unless Lean culture is properly deployed in the plant. In this book, the Value Stream Mapping technique is established to identify wastes at macro level and the Spaghetti Diagram tool to detect wastes at a micro level with more depth. These diagnoses are vital steps to detect potential problems and prepare for the next step which is the application of different Lean techniques to remedy these problems and implement suitable improvements in the plant. For students, this book helps to get transformed into responsible, independent, participative learners of Lean tools and be a critical thinker of existing inefficiencies of a company’s processes. For practitioners, it offers a complete approach to deploy the Lean approach in a proper way to implicate the company in the cycle of continuous improvement, to reduce wastes and to strive for the efficiency of its process.
