Аннотация: Androgenetic alopecia also referred as male-pattern hair loss and female pattern hair loss, is a noncicatrical or potentially reversible type of patterened hair loss. As much as 96 percent of men loose their hair to some degree in their life and about 50 percent of men develop androgenetic alopecia by the age of 35-50 years. The present work embodies the Pharmacognostical, Preliminary Phytochemical Screening and Biological Evaluation of various extracts of Thuja orientalis and Cupressus macrocarpa leaves to access their effect on hair growth activity in albino rabbits and in testosterone induced alopecia in swiss albino mice. Thus the results of present study reveals that pharmacognostic and bioevaluation will be helpful for standardization of Thuja orientalis & Cupressus macrocarpa leaves and in the identification of novel hair growth promoting agent which is an immense need of era.
