Аннотация: The Community Development has become one of the most important and significant movements in our country. On 2nd October 1952, with great hopes and expectations, our Government launched 55 Pilot Projects in different States. This step was taken up as a “Revolutionary Step” that held the “Promise” of great achievements in the various fields viz. Agriculture, animal husbandry, public health, education, cottage and small industries available in the vicinity of our agrarian economy. By the passage of nine five year plans the community development programmes have come a long way to emancipate the lot of the people of villages and for the rescue of the weaker section-the depressed and the oppressed people. District Saharanpur is rich in Industrial Development, as there are a number of large scale, medium scale, cottage and small industries. Wooden work industries of Saharanpur have earned name and fame from the whole of the world due to its ‘EXPORT- Potentiality’. I am confident enough that the study undertaken by me will open new vistas and pave the way for the upliftment of lives of the poor masses, the oppressed and the depressed and the so called weaker section of the society.
