Аннотация: One of the serious attempts to investigate space and motion as cognitively represented in English and Arabic. The field is a rich resource for those interested in cognitive linguistics. The book is part of the efforts within cognitive linguistics and an integral part of a set of linguistic investigations , which includes research efforts considering language as mental and cognitive. It is an attempt to see how English and Arabic lexicalise motion events according to Talmy's model. A number of cognitive linguistic theories, models and frameworks were reviewed. These reviews are of importance for the students of cognitive linguistics.
