Аннотация: Scholarly journals are one of the important sources to communicate current studies, research and innovation to the fellow scholars and the fraternity. But, accessibility to scholarly journals is one issue. Libraries have to maintain balance between the soaring prices of journals and serve the user with their required relevant scholarly journal. Open access publishing platform has proved to a boon for libraries, but again it has to bear the blemish of suspicious quality content and reliable authority. Bibliometric studies on open access journal provides staunch facts on different aspects of journal such as the content subject, publication pattern, cited sources and many more in a single view. This information is helpful for institutions, libraries, and individual researchers for selecting useful open access journal to read and publish. The current study discusses different aspects of bibliometrics and gives insight into open access. The study involves ten year bibliometric analysis of the open access e-journal Library Philosophy and Practice an internationally established peer reviewed open access journal.
