Аннотация: The study analysed the effect of pineapple production on household poverty alleviation indicators in Akuapem South District. The study analysed the Socio-economic characteristics of the Pineapple farmers and household poverty indicators of the pineapple farmers as well as estimating the effects of Pineapple production on poverty alleviation indicators in the. Purposive sampling was used to collate data from four areas in the district which were Fotobi (30); Pokrom (20); Oboadaka (20) and Obodan (20); the sample size was 90. SPSS (16.0), Excel and Eviews were the main software for data processing and analysis. Frequencies, relative percentage and means were generated which facilitated the discussion of results in addition to regression analysis. The stated objectives of this work were achieved by primary and secondary data. The Study found that Pineapple production started to decline from 2003. Many farmers had stopped planting. Exporters owed farmers hugely. Most farmers target the domestic market.‘Now’7% use water tanks to store water as against 2% 'before'.‘Now’ 7 percent use water tanks to store water as against 2 percent ‘before’. pineapple production.
