Аннотация: Given the current background of ongoing energy issues, the exploitation of clean energy could contribute to emissions reduction and environmental protection. Currently, the utilization of solar and on-land wind energy have been moving towards industrialization, but restricted severely by regional difference of resource; Nuclear energy can provide significant energy, which however is a big potential threat to humans, such as the nuclear leakage caused by the Japanese tsunami in March 2011 and the Chernobyl in April 1986. The utilization of ocean energy is now at an early stage, the advantages of safe, non-pollution, renewable, large reserves and wide distribution make wave energy become the focus of the developed countries. The evaluation of resource should be ahead of development. This book reviews the research progress of wave energy evaluation. The global wave energy climate is presented. A short-term numerical forecasting method of wave energy is also structured. At last, we expect the future focus of wave energy evaluation. We hope this book can make positive contribution to enhance the marine construction ability of hunam society, alleviate the energy and environmental crisis.
