Аннотация: In Ireland, across Europe and across the World currently Suicide levels are extremely high. As Counsellor's and people on the front line, daily we face many challenges in working with clients who are suicidal. We can take these challenges and use them to learn about our own way of working and what does actually work in relation to suicide prevention on the ground. We can also use these experiences to educate others and to inform the general public and the world alike that much can be done to actively prevent suicide in our communities. It is not only those working with suicidal clients who can benefit from the learnings in this book but any one of us who could at any time in our lives find ourselves faced with such circumstances. Having lost two very special people in my life to Suicide in both 2001 and 2015 (while completing this research) I have seen and felt the devastation Suicide can leave. These people are not just statistics, they are human beings. We can reduce these numbers and some practical ways are included inside. For anyone who wants to learn more this book contains some very interesting findings.
