The Effects of a Writing Intervention on Omani Students.

      Аннотация: The Effects of a Writing Intervention on Omani Students presents a collection of classroom based studies and review articles relating to L2 pedagogy. Two research studies which were conducted in the context of technological education in Oman indicated that developed materials were effective in improving academic writing and reading skills of the college level students. Given the positive results that emerged from the two experimental studies, it can be concluded that context-specific materials are effective and useful in helping students studying in EFL context to improve their academic writing and reading skills. Moreover, The Effects of a Writing Intervention on Omani Students carries some important and useful articles which explore the relationship between additional language learning and risk-taking, the best method in EFL/ESL teaching, Exploitation of literary texts in teaching ESL/EFL, Influence of English as a powerful instrument of communication in Thailand and The nature of human language which are compelling.
