Аннотация: This book will examine the Electronic and Communication Transaction Bill of Namibia and why there is a need for the Bill to be put into practice. The aim of the book is to determine and address a specific cybercrime that involves social media activity. It will provide for a proposal for Namibia to go forward in the creation of a cyber-crimes unit to combat such internet activity. There will be focus on social media and how its inclusion into the cyber law legislation is very important, to protect people from the dangers that the cyber world brings, that include cyberbullying, defamatory content and the spread of obscene material being shared on sites like Facebook, twitter and Instagram. The law needs to address such protection and implement rules and regulations governing the use of the internet. This study will concentrate on the need to have social media control included into the Bill as a measure to protect Namibians from being harassed, bullied and violated through social media and as a way to have a law directly applicable to such protection. The use of other country legislation implementation of social media control will be used, recommendations will also be provided.
