      Аннотация: Cancer is a dreadful disease leading to death, placed globally second next to cardiovascular disease.Search for medicinal plants that could act against cancer paved way for this book, it works by boosting our immune system thereby devoid of side effects.Since 1950, only very few medicinal plants find application in the treatment of cancer but many plants are under research level only.They are huge in number, which lacks preservation and essential to preserve the data available from the web sources in order to have a repository of medicinal plants studied in the field of cancer research. Hence,the author took an attempt to collect as much as possible plants and with much efforts 1680 plants having anticancer potential was presented in this book.Care was taken to cover plants belonging to alphabet A to Z including their family, compounds, mechanism of action as well as cell lines,animal, human models on which the active principles, extracts were studied by different researchers,for some plants the cytotoxic effect was also given.Most of the works were used invitro human cell cultures only.The anticancer role was through its antioxidant activity,altered protein etc.
