      Аннотация: This book attempts to provide information on the natural plant gum exudates and mucilages, their sources, properties and uses and the potential applications. The book has been specially design, because these plant biopolymers gum and mucilages have evoked tremendous interest and attention due to their diverse medicinal, pharmaceutical, food and non – food applications, and are preferred over their synthetic counterpart because they are biocompatible, cheap and easily available than the synthetic ones. Demand for these substances is increasing and new sources have to be developed. The book is divided into four chapters, chapter one deals with the general introduction, chapter two discusses the biological sources of plant gum, chapter three is concerned with the discussion on the biological sources of plant mucilages, while chapter four deals with the various applications of plant gum and mucilages. The book is meant for all individuals who are interested to read it.
