Hemangiopericytoma of the greater omentum. Diagnosis and Therapy

      Аннотация: Over the past several decades, characterization, diagnosis and management of hemangiopericytomas are evolving. With the advent of immunohistochemical studies it is becoming clearer that many tumors originally described as hemangiopericytomas are now classified under solitary fibrous tumors and there exists very little literature on how to best characterize these lesions. The existing data on how to characterize hemangiopericytomas is no longer adequate as only few old data are found in the topic. This book, therefore, provides a comprehensive approach to hemangiopericytoma by organizing the existing past and recent updates on the disease. The diagnostic criteria, management and follow up of hemangiopericytoma are detailed. The book should help shed some light on this challenging and possibly fatal disease and should be especially useful to health professionals or anyone who wants to know about this problem.
