Аннотация: Due to exponentially growing population on earth in 21st century, the utilization of buried water distribution and gas pipelines increases rapidly. Regardless of synergistic mitigation technique which is offered through organic coatings and impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) to combat degradation , corrosion still attacks buried pipeline steels. The continuation of this phenomenon has deemed to be due to instabilities in the soils which leads to a fluctuation of ICCP on the coating defects. This leads to substantial impacts on consumers’ health, regulatory compliances, environmental pollution and drinking water aesthetics. So this book exists to give different optimum cathodic protection potential (OCPP) for different soil environment where pipelines are buried. With these inclusions, particularly, on OCPP for each soil environment, practical insight on corrosion mitigation can be attained. In fact, the application of the obtained OCPPs could play significant inroads on the similar environments. Most of all, that could improve the safety of consumers’ health and the security of water and gas supply.
