Аннотация: The accommodation and recognition of various ethnic groups in a given society can be maintained using various mechanisms. One best mechanism is providing them federal political system. The success of federalism in accommodating differences is interpreted by its institutional principles such as self rule and shared rule. In many federations accommodating diversities sufficiently is in doubt because of inadequate representation of differences (especially minorities) on the shared federal institutions. This book tries to investigate minorities representation in the national parliament of the Ethiopian federal arrangement. For the sake of comparison and to evaluate the effectiveness and inclusiveness of the system, the representation of the whole Ethiopian nations and nationalities at federal level is analyzed. Particularly the book assesses the representation of minorities in the two federal houses. The electoral law of the country also examined to investigate whether the election procedure promote the protection of representation rights of minorities or not. This book will be welcomed by general readers, and students of political science and scholars of federalism as well.
