Psychological Correlates of Performance Among Soccer Players. Aggression, Anxiety and Achievement motivation in Soccer Performance of Men and Women players

      Аннотация: In the Modern sports world, the psychological make-up of sports person is as much important as physiological variables, teaching and tactics. Psychology has become the backbone of higher performances, especially in achieving peak performances both during training and competition. Present society has now realized the values, nature and trend of sport. Sports in its present form in now accepted as a meaningful culture. Indeed, it still continues to be a developing culture. Sports have enough provisions for providing fun and enjoyment to all the participants as well as the spectators while being highly competitive. The psychological variables of aggression, anxiety and achievement motivation knowledge is highly essential for players, parents, physical education teachers and coaches. Winning in international competitions generally depends upon psychological training and abilities. Future records will be broken primarily because of increased attention to the psychological parameters of human personality.
