Аннотация: Laugh is an important aspect in human life. There are thousands of languages and dialects but everyone speaks laughter in pretty much the same way. Babies have the ability to laugh before they even speak. Children who are born blind and deaf still retain the ability to laugh. Laugh can express pleasure derision or nervousness with an audible, vocal expulsion of air from the lungs which can range from loud burst of sound to a series of quiet chuckles accompanied by characteristic facial and bodily movements. Various research findings documented that laughter is sometimes seen as contagious, and the laughter of one person can itself provoke laughter from others as a positive feedback. Reading this study makes viewers understand varied aspects of laughter, acoustic features, various studies quoted, and analyses of laugh by the researcher in young, adult and elderly population. The information of the study guides professionals to compare the various parameters of laughter that helps in identification of laughter in varied clinical population at an early phase and plan for various rehabilitation services at the earliest that helps the child to reach the near normal level in the society.
