Аннотация: 'Media Papers' is a book that discusses some key topics in media studies. The book is divided into four parts. The first part of the book highlights the position of the social media in politics. The discussion in this section argues that the social media is like a two-edged sword. in order words, the social media is both a blessing and a curse in politics. The second part of 'Media Papers' discusses the imperative of utilizing public relations to engender robust attendance in live theatre. The author scholarly highlighted some PR strategies that may help revive the lost theatre-going attribute of Nigerians. The third section of the book is based on empirical review of scholarly articles which show the huge impact WhatsApp is having on conventional SMS. This part of the book argues that WhatsApp is fast becoming an alternative for SMS. The author submitted some of the attributes of WhatsApp that buttresses this claim. Finally, the fourth part of the book highlights the relevance of Entertainment-Education strategy in regards to development communication. I believe that this book will be a veritable tool for scholarship in diverse knowledge domain of media studies.
