Аннотация: This book examined the impact of public bureaucracy on service delivery in Nigeria using the Weberian bureaucratic theory to interrogate the functioning of public service in Ogun State Ministry of Education, 2010 -2015. It adopts a survey research design, quantitative and qualitative methods of data collection. One hundred and ninety six respondents were selected thorough a simple random sampling technique to respond to the questionnaire. The research questions were answered using descriptive statistics while hypotheses were tested using chi-square. The findings reveal that there is a significant relationship between public bureaucracy and service delivery in Ogun State; and there are challenges to effective service delivery by Ogun State Ministry of Education. Most of the respondents opined that bureaucratic processes at Ministry of Education impact negatively on service delivery as measured by productivity and efficiency. The study recommends that to ensure expeditious service delivery there should be a periodic review of the laid down rules, regulations, procedures and methods of operations at the Ministry of Education in line with the tenets of the Weberian bureaucracy theory.
