Assessing Library Resources for Story Hour Programme in Anambra State.

      Аннотация: Learning how to read and write are magical activities for children. This is what library story hour program offers in creating and strengthening reading habits in children from early age. The excitement created for the entire reading processes through various learning resources fill the need and hunger for learning. The public libraries come in to spark young children’s love of books and reading through various audio visual resources.It is said that libraries are safe haven for children. The basis is on the ambience environment where librarians have always connected people with resources in unique and creative ways. With library resources the librarians throw, mix and mash learning in ways that surprise and delight. This book showcases the essence of library resources in building close association between children and books in order to help them banish the fear of reading their academic subjects and overcome the burden of poor reading habits. As reading is the students’ most important tool for learning, story hour program helps to expose children to varieties of books and learning resources, especially those who lack access to books and other reading resources in their daily lives.
