Аннотация: Some synthesis methods of nanomaterials are expensive and time-consuming. As a corollary, the concept of “green nanotechnology” emerged with the green synthesis of nanoparticles commencing a new epoch in nanotechnology. This involves the synthesis of nanomaterial from microorganisms, plants and other biological materials. Green-synthesized nanomaterials play significant roles in the application of nanotechnology to diverse fields. Green nanotechnology refers to the formation of green nano products and use of these products to achieve sustainable development. Green synthesized nano-materials play significant roles in medicines, clinical applications and in vitro diagnostic applications. Nanomaterials or their products are used in environmental remediation. In these greener routes, organisms or their products or NPs clean hazardous waste sites and treat pollutants. Green nanomaterials have a wide scope in the treatment of surface water, groundwater and wastewater contaminated by toxic metal ions, organic and inorganic solutes and microorganisms.
