Аннотация: This book consists of an introduction and four main parts The first part of this book is an introduction. It provides an outline of what is meant by Discourse and Discourse Analysis. Next, it explains how politics is related to language and provides a brief account of what is meant by political discourse, Analysis of Political Discourse (APD) and Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). There are also three sections on manipulation, provocation and the language of humor. The second part determines and analyzes the manipulation strategies and provocation features in the political discourse of Egypt's former president Mubarak before the 25th of January Revolution. The third part provides a background on the events of the 25th of January revolution from the beginning to the end and attempts to determine and analyze the manipulation strategies and provocation features in the political discourse of Egypt's former president Mubarak during the events of the Revolution. The fourth part provides the conclusion of the study and focuses on the similarities and differences between Mubarak's pre-revolution discourse and his discourse during the events of the 25th of January Revolution.
