Land Registration and Certification. A case study on Meskan Woreda of Ethiopia

      Аннотация: The pressure on land—the ultimate resource, has been exponentially increasing in many parts of the world. Studies show that, above 70% of the land in developing countries was not covered by modern land administration system. In this case, especially women, elders, orphans and disabled persons are affected in the absence of recorded rights on land. Hence, land registration and titling / certification is one of the basic tools to achieve social equity and promote sustainable development. Therefore, this book provides the practical experience of land registration and certification in developing countries. It also identified the challenges faced in the course of the process and recommends on the possible measures to be considered. The book is useful especially to researchers in social and natural sciences, policy makers, land administration professionals, academic institutions and other concerned parties.
