Аннотация: Platelet rich plasma [PRP] is an autologous concentration of human platelet in a small volume of plasma. It is derived from sequestering and concentrating freshly drawn venous blood. PRP is known to contain a number of growth factors. Here we present a detailed overview of its application in management of maxillofacial defects and discuss about future research required for providing improved and better healthcare to patients.
