Аннотация: This book sheds light on the contributions of the human resource department in the management of change in organizations. Specifically, it examines how employee recruitment procedures, employee training, employee appraisal processes and employee rewarding relate to change management, based on lessons from Telkom Kenya. The author observes that HRD contributes to change management through fast implementation of change, less errors in change implementation and less fraud in change implementation. In addition, training of employees, effective communication and identifying the causes of change assist the process of change management by unfreezing, changing and freezing change. This book is of great use to many stakeholders in organizational change management and human resources. To the management, the book emphasizes the contribution of HR function/department in ensuring effective change management. The book also helps employees and their trade unions to see why they should embrace and actively take part in change management. Similarly, HR consultants will find it useful in designing and formulating highly effective consultation models to be used by HRD in implementing change.
